Meals & transports

First-rate canteen and restaurant services are provided for College students, who can choose to have lunch at the central university canteen, which is next to the College headquarters, or to walk just a few minutes to reach a nice self-service restaurant located in the very heart of the city. Moreover, students have access to the canteen inside the Campus of the University of Parma, and thus close to the Halls of Residence.
Specifically, throughout the academic year College students receive the following:
a) a monthly “Meal Card”, to be used for lunches from Monday to Saturday at the services having a specific agreement with the European College of Parma Foundation;
b) one “Purchase Voucher” for each working day from Monday to Friday, valid for doing shopping at the Conad Campus supermarket next to the College Residence.
Purchase Vouchers are a convenient instrument for students as the weekly shopping “budget” may be allocated autonomously by each student, who can decide when and what to buy, and thus also provide for meals that would not be covered by the European College of Parma Foundation otherwise (i.e. breakfasts, Saturday dinners, meals on Sundays and on Italian bank holidays); meals during DAES holiday periods (Christmas & Easter holidays) are not provided too.
Transportation
The city of Parma is served by efficient and convenient bus lines (see the Tep S.p.A. website). The College headquarters are easily reached by bus from both the Residence and the train station.
College students are given a special "Bus Card" allowing them to move around the city area, both during daytime and in the evening, throughout the whole academic year.
In case of specifically scheduled events or teaching activities requiring students to travel outside town, special coach services may be organised by the European College of Parma Foundation to transport College students to venues.
