PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE

DIPLOMA & MASTER IN ADVANCED EUROPEAN STUDIES 2017/2018

 

 

The European College of Parma Foundation is hereby exceptionally offering a limited number of partial scholarships to enable particularly valuable students to participate in the Diploma and Master in Advanced European Studies (DAES) 2017/2018.

 

Grantees of the partial scholarships will have the chance to enrol in the DAES course, academic year 2017/2018, starting to attend immediately and benefiting from a reduced enrolment fee by virtue of the awarding of a partial scholarship.

 

Partial scholarship awarding will take place as follows:

 

1)       5 partial scholarships - each amounting to a value of Euro 3500 to be deducted from the Euro 5000 normal enrolment fee - for young University graduates who are nationals of the following countries: 

 

Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia.

 

The enrolment fee, in case of granting of this partial scholarship, will amount to Euro 1500 (including VAT) instead of Euro 5000 (including VAT).

 

2)       5 partial scholarships - each amounting to a value of Euro 2500 to be deducted from the Euro 5000 normal enrolment fee - for young University graduates who are nationals of the following countries: 

 

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France,

Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal,

United Kingdom, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

 

Italian Citizens Residing Abroad (officially registered with AIRE – Anagrafe Italiani Residenti all’Estero).

 

The enrolment fee, in case of granting of this partial scholarship, will amount to Euro 2500 (including VAT) instead of Euro 5000 (including VAT).

 

 

WHO CAN APPLY

 

General Requirements:

 

The offer is addressed to candidates who are citizens of one of the countries listed above, or, in case of Italians officially residing abroad, who are officially registered in the AIRE, and who hold at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree in law, economics, political science, social science, language studies, humanities. The Foundation may analyse profiles of candidates holding University Degrees in other disciplines if relating to subjects dealt with within the DAES study programme.

The University degree must have been fully achieved by the day of submission of the application, or it shall be necessarily fully achieved by the deadline of 23 November 2017.

 

Merit Requirements:

 

To be eligible for applying within the framework of this partial scholarship offer, candidates must have achieved their University Bachelor’s Degree with a final mark at least equivalent to (or higher than) a “Very Good” assessment.

 

Language Requirements:

 

For the purpose of this scholarship offer, the following language skills are required:

 

-          ENGLISH language: B2* or higher;

and

-          ITALIAN or FRENCH language: A1* or higher.

 

 

HOW TO APPLY

 

Applications for this partial scholarship offer shall be submitted by e-mail to the European College of Parma Foundation (email address:  apply@collegioeuropeo.it ) from 9 to 23 November 2017.

 

Prospective applicants must submit the following documents:

 

1)       Application dossier (consisting in DAES 2017/2018 Application Form and relevant annexes).

It is to be noted that, with respect to the annexes listed within the Application Form document, the following documents are considered as mandatory: Annex (A) Curriculum vitae; Annex (B) Copy of the university diploma certificate, detailing exams taken and relevant marks; Annex (F) Photocopy of passport or identity card.

 

2)       Motivation letter, specifically written for the purpose of this scholarship application.

 

NOTE: in the case of Italian citizens officially residing abroad, proof of A.I.R.E. (Anagrafe Italiani Residenti all’Estero) official registration must be enclosed in the application.

 

 

AWARDING CRITERIA

 

Candidates who – based on the analysis of their respective application dossiers and submitted documents – will be considered as meeting the above-listed minimum requirements will be contacted to make individual appointments for Skype interviews (in case a Skype connection is technically unavailable, interviews will be held over the phone) with representatives of the Foundation. The interview will be focussing mainly on the analysis of the candidate’s motivation and on verification of actual language skills.

 

Upon closing of the application period (23 November 2017), applications will be arranged according to merit order, keeping into account, in particular, final results with which the University Degree was obtained by the candidate and language skills.

 

Successful candidates will be notified within the shortest delay. In this respect, successful candidates shall commit to join the course as soon as possible.

 

The Foundation reserves the right not to grant the above partial scholarships, should the applications received within the framework of this offer not qualify for the applicable requirements.
