On 4 June 2026, the President of Paraguay, Santiago Pe\u00f1a, appointed Professor Adolfo Vallejos Morales as the new Vice Minister for Religious Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Sciences.<\/p>\n
A former student of the European College of Parma, Vallejos Morales is a lawyer, university lecturer, and specialist in Canon Law.<\/p>\n
During his academic training, he focussed on regional and European integration, developing expertise that complements his extensive experience in the legal and ecclesiastical fields. He has served as a canon lawyer at the Interdiocesan Ecclesiastical Tribunal of Asunci\u00f3n and was a member of the Episcopal Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church.<\/p>\n
In his new role, he will be responsible for institutional relations between the Paraguayan State and the various faith communities present in the country, with particular attention to promoting interreligious dialogue, safeguarding freedom of religion, and strengthening the activities of the Vice Ministry.<\/p>\n
