The Second-Level Master’s Programme in EU-MED African Relations and Cooperation Policies (EU-MEDA) is an advanced academic programme designed for graduates and young professionals who aim to build a career in international cooperation, European external action, and Euro-Mediterranean and African relations.
An interdisciplinary pathway that combines theory and practice, the programme focuses on key areas such as geopolitics, international law, development cooperation, migration, and sustainability. It features high-level faculty, interactive activities, policy simulations, project work, and internship opportunities, providing participants with the skills needed to operate in complex global and regional contexts.
Programme Overview
An advanced, interdisciplinary programme offering knowledge and professional skills on EU and international governance, with a focus on Euro-Mediterranean and African cooperation policies. Combining economic, legal, and geopolitical perspectives, the Master equips participants with analytical tools to tackle today’s complex challenges in Europe’s relations with its Mediterranean and African Partners. EU-MEDA is co-designed and co-organised with the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Parma.
Key focus areas include: development cooperation, agri-food systems, migration and mobility, energy, environment, health, blue economy, and others.

The program fee is €6,000, (in three installments), plus a €16 university matriculation fee due upon enrolment.

The application deadline for the “Master in EU-MED African Relations and Cooperation Policies” (EUMEDA) is 4th December 2026 at 12:00 noon (CEST). Candidates will be able to submit their applications through the University of Parma’s online platform, ESSE3.
