Master in “European Affairs and Policies” (MEAP)

Programme Overview

The First-Level Master’s Degree in European Affairs and Policies (MEAP) is an academic program designed for recent graduates who wish to build a career in the “EU Bubble.”

By combining a solid academic foundation with a practical and applied approach, the program offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary pathway covering governance, law, and the main policies of the European Union.

Students will engage in a dynamic and stimulating environment, interacting with university professors, senior officials from European institutions, and professionals from across Europe.

The program provides valuable networking, internship, and career development opportunities, preparing participants to work in European institutions, international organizations, public administrations, NGOs, and the private sector.

Academic Recognition

The Master awards 60 ECTS credits and offers the possibility of an accelerated academic pathway, with recognition of the first year of the Master’s Degree in Global Politics and International Relations at the University of Parma.

November 2026 – April 2027: Courses, seminars, and workshops May/June – September 2027: Internship period

Total workload:

Language

The program is delivered primarily in English.

Faculty

Courses and interactive activities are delivered by a high-level faculty composed of academics, policymakers, and professionals from various sectors.

Teaching Format

The program is offered in a hybrid (blended) format, combining in-person sessions and online learning. This flexibility allows for direct interaction while ensuring accessibility and convenience.

Teaching Methodology

Students will take part in:

These activities foster critical thinking and the development of transversal skills (teamwork, public speaking, time management), while providing a concrete understanding of the decision-making processes within European institutions.

Target Audience and Requirements

The Master is aimed at:

• Recent graduates in political science, international relations, law, or related fields
• Candidates with a strong interest in European affairs

A good level of English (minimum B1/B2) is required.

Fees and Scholarships
